FAQ

2009-2010 KIDz University kicks off on Tuesdays, Sept. 22, 6:30-8:00 PM!  In case you’re not familiar with this ministry, or need to refresh your memory, here are a few points of interest about this important ministry to kids in our church and community.

• KzU is set up in semesters or sessions (like a university).  There are four sessions (4-5 weeks each) per school year as well as a couple of special events along the way.  The dates are carefully coordinated with District 200’s calendar so as to be convenient and helpful to families.
  
  
• KzU offers classes for Kindergartners through fifth graders.  The classes are designed to be informative and fun!  No grades or evaluations are given.  The first session this fall will offer 1. GOLF BASICS,  2. COOKING & BAKING the CLASSICS (Grades 3-5), and ALL ABOUT AMAZING ANIMALS (K-2nd grade).
  
  
• In addition to teaching skills, there is a Bible lesson each night.  This session, the lessons will be about Creation.  KzU also will emphasize Bible memory, worship through prayer and singing, and reaching out to other kids.
  
  
• For 2009-10, our theme verse is Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
  
  
• More than half of the kids who have attended KzU in recent years are from the neighborhoods around the church, and not necessarily from PHCC families!  This is an exciting outreach to many who don’t attend PHCC on a regular basis. 
  
  
• In order to be an effective ministry of PHCC, KzU volunteers desperately need your prayers!   Would you commit to praying for this ministry weekly?  Perhaps every Tuesday? 
  
  
• Contact KzU Director, Rhonda Sisson, if you would like to become involved in this ministry.  God is working in and through PHCC.  You can have the privilege of investing your time in kids who need to know Jesus Christ and learn to follow Him!
