The Bible gives us some insight and a warning about our memories that confirm why we need a written record. In Deuteronomy 4:9, Moses tells the people: “Be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen, or let them slip from your heart as long as you live.”   Creating a faithbook is one method to ensure that we will NOT forget the amazing feats God has performed in our lives. Once these stories are recorded in photo-safe albums, they are there for generations.=0D=0ACreative Memories Co-founder Rhonda Anderson says: “The Word does not say if we have time, if we have money, if we don’t work outside the home, if we have a housecleaner or if we have a supportive spouse. We are to remember all the things God is doing in our lives and we are to tell the next generation.=0D=0AWhen Cheryl Lightle and I founded Creative Memories more than 20 years ago, it was a real leap of faith. In fact, I’ve always thought of my Creative Memories journey as a faith experience. The work of helping families preserve and celebrate their unique family stories is, I believe, a calling that’s been given to me by the Lord. My faith has always been central to my life.=0D=0AA few years ago I created an album which focused solely on my faith journey. What a rewarding experience that was! I reflected on events and experiences in my life that may have seemed insignificant at the time, but which proved to be very important in my spiritual development. That album, which I now call my Amazing Grace Faithbook, is among my most treasured possessions.”=0D=0AWomen’s Ministries Committee is excited to offer this Create & Relate workshop on faithbooking. The goal of this workshop is to create a faithbook that reflects your life – the good, the bad and the everyday occurrences that make an impact on your life. We will share a few ideas to help get you started.  You may not complete a full album during this workshop.  A faithbook is a project involving emotion, reflection and thoughtfulness. We encourage you to continue your project at home after the workshop, and work on one page each night or week, as your schedule allows. =0D=0A =0D=0APlease bring 12 – 20 photos of people, pets, places, anything that means a lot to you. These could include a photo (or a group of photos) of a sunrise, a garden, or loved ones – anything that’s important to you. =0D=0A =0D=0AIf you already have photo-safe scrapbooking supplies, bring an album, pages, an adhesive, journaling boxes or paper, and a black photo-safe pen, optional: personal cutter. If you do not have supplies, please contact Marjory (630-779-4053) at least one day before the workshop.  You are also welcome if you just want to come and listen!
