Just as Joshua instructed the nation of Israel to look back and see God's presence, power, protection, and provision, we need to do the same.
Sometimes it doesn't feel like Christmas "should feel." Sometimes there is no joy. Jesus knows. He has been there.
As we consider his baptism and the temptation in the wilderness, we discover yet again how Jesus identifies with us.
In the lone childhood story of Jesus in the Bible, we discover that he grew and matured in the same areas we do. It is part of his shared human experience with us.
This year for Advent, we will be considering the humanity of Jesus in a series entitled "A Shared Experience." In this sermon, Pastor Scott explores the statement in Hebrews 2:17 that reminds the reader that Jesus, "had to be made like them, fully human in every way..."
